Penny accidentally shoots Sheldon's sofa cushion with a paint ball gun. She drives Penny and Leonard to drink with her psychoanalysis while Sheldon loves her. Leonard tries and get the money back for her. Leonard tries to help and discovers that she paid her an $1800 fine for Kurt. She feels guilty about not paying it back and still can't pay her electricity bills. Penny is short on her rent money and so Sheldon lends her some of his spare cash. He needs to use an open science grid computer that is in Barry Kripke's office, but Leonard tells Sheldon that only Barry's friends can use it. Socially awkward, Sheldon develops a scientific procedure (the titular "Friendship Algorithm") for making friends. When Penny tells Howard what she really thinks of his sleazy come-ons, he is hurt and becames distraught Leonard makes Penny apologize. Howard builds a robot called MONTE ( Mobile Omnidirectional Neutralization and Termination Eradicator) to enter into the Southern California Robot Fighting League Round Robin Invitational. He soon asks Penny out much to Leonard's distress. Wizard physicist and all round hunk David Underhill starts working with Leonard. She tries helping Sheldon with a ringing in his ear, but is unable to help him. Stephanie Barnett has moved in with Leonard and Sheldon, according to their roommate contract, though Leonard denies that she is living with them. He tries to force himself into conversations with "urban slang" to "help" Leonard in the relationship with Stephanie. Sheldon is concerned that Stephanie is the only girl Leonard has dated that he "finds tolerable". Stephanie and Leonard then hitch up, alienating Howard. Wolowitz invites Stephanie to drive the Mars rover, which winds up stuck in a ditch. A war escalates between them.Ī smitten Wolowitz thinks he's found his soul mate-until the woman, Dr. Sheldon banishes Penny from the apartment when she accumulates three strikes from him.

Raj discovers a trans-neptunian planetoid and gets featured in People Magazine as a result. Sheldon learns that Penny is frustrated by her failures in life. Sheldon becomes distracted from playing Age of Conan by Penny who has accidentally attempted to use her car keys to open her apartment door. Sheldon hates Leslie and resents being exiled to the staircase to play Mario alone. Penny is dating a new guy, so Leonard jumps at the chance to date Leslie Winkle again. Sheldon with Penny on the stairs while playing Mario. She confesses to Sheldon about dropping out of college and he can't take the pressure of keeping her secret. Penny and Leonard return from their date, but she gives him a brush off when he tries to get a second date.
Season 2 of The Big Bang Theory returned to television in September 22, 2008, and contained 23 episodes. Howard's character remains similar to that of season one in his attempts to seduce women, & lastly Rajesh manages to briefly communicate an apology to Penny without having consumed alcohol. In the season finale Penny hints at her true feelings for Leonard. Soon their relationship progresses into a stronger friendship than before, while Sheldon and Penny's friendship slowly begins. Leonard and Penny's relationship takes a turn for the worse when they break up, but is quickly resolved. This has been confirmed as fake news.Season 2 deals with character development, including Sheldon becoming more and more obsessive. Season 13 was supposedly confirmed by an unknown employee of CBS on May 14, 2020, as a two-part finale episode to show what happens to all the characters. CBS eventually confirmed Season 12 would be the last season, meaning that there would definitely not be a thirteenth season. As of August, 2018, the network was talking about renewing it for a 13th season, but it was not confirmed. However, the season was never confirmed by either CBS, Chuck Lorre, or Bill Prady. It would have premiered in September, 2019 and ended in May, 2020. That would mean that there would possibly be at least a thirteenth season of " The Big Bang Theory". When CBS announced their 2017-2018 Fall Schedule, CBS Chief Executive Les Moonves announced that Seasons 11 and 12 would not be the last seasons of the show.
